Baby born after mother hurt in car crash in Manchester

A woman's baby was delivered by emergency Caesarean section after she was seriously injured in a crash in Manchester
The accident happened when a black cab was turning from Great Ancoats Street into Redhill Street at about 22:45 BST on Friday, police said.
A silver VW Golf collided with the taxi as it turned.
The mother is in a "critical condition" but the baby boy "continues to make good progress", police said.
The collision caused the taxi to spin on to the footpath and hit a 29-year-old man, trapping him between the taxi and the railings.
Police said he has serious injuries to his legs, pelvis and hips. The pregnant woman suffered head and chest injuries.
The two other passengers in the taxi, who are all members of the woman's family, were also seriously injured.
The taxi driver suffered minor injuries to his legs.
The driver of the Golf, a 19-year-old man, was not injured and was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and other driving offences.
